I am an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) at City University of London. My research interests include Strategic management of human capital, Employee mobility, and Entrepreneurship. In particular, in my first research stream, I examine the drivers and consequences of employee inter-firm mobility and employee entrepreneurship in high-technology contexts. Within this research stream, for example, I investigate the role of established organizations as drivers of entrepreneurship. As part of my second research stream, I explore how the pre-entry experience of founders impacts early-stage strategies and performance outcomes of new firms. Specifically, I study how the knowledge sources of entrepreneurial ventures (e.g. corporate, academic, and user settings) shape strategic decisions such as the timing of market entry, technological strategy, and sources of financing. My research has been published in Journal of Business Venturing.

Prior to joining Bayes, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University in Finland and Bocconi University in Italy. I have been a visiting fellow at Copenhagen Business School and the University of St. Gallen. I hold a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Bologna and an M.Sc. in Economics and Management from USI (Lugano).
